Clinical rehabilitation services in public and private rehabilitation hospitals, focusing on hearing and speech-language rehabilitation. Hearing aid fitting services in private hearing aid companies. Work in private speech and hearing-related foundations (e.g., the Children’s Hearing Foundation, the Taiwan Women’s League Hearing Impairment Foundation), engaging in hearing and speech-language prevention and rehabilitation services. Independent practice in private hearing rehabilitation clinics or studios (i.e., self-employment opportunities). Participation in government education (special education units) and social welfare agencies (disability welfare services) in planning programs for individuals with hearing and speech-language impairments. Occupational hearing conservation and industrial noise protection programs in labor safety agencies (e.g., Ministry of Labor). Engagement in basic and applied research in speech and hearing sciences, including opportunities for overseas study, hearing aid research and development companies, or domestic assistive technology companies. Starting from the 2020 academic year, the Department also admits students to its Master’s Program in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology, thereby further strengthening academic research development in the field and providing graduates with opportunities for advanced study.
